📝 高分范文(约 200-250 词,1-2 分钟)

The city I want to talk about is Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in southwest China. I went there about two years ago on a short holiday with my girlfriend, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable trips I've ever had.

We spent five days there. The first thing that struck me was the pace of life. People were just so relaxed — they'd sit in teahouses playing mahjong for hours, and nobody seemed to be in a rush. Coming from a fast-paced city, it was a real eye-opener.

We did the usual tourist things, like visiting the Giant Panda Breeding Base early in the morning to see the pandas when they're most active. I'll never forget watching a baby panda tumble off a log and then roll around on the grass. We also ate our way through the city — hot pot, mapo tofu, dan dan noodles, you name it. I've never tasted Sichuan food that authentic anywhere else.

What I loved most, though, was the laid-back vibe. On our last evening, we sat by Jinli Ancient Street, sipping tea and listening to traditional music, and I remember thinking that I could easily live there. If I ever get the chance to relocate for work, Chengdu would be right at the top of my list.

💬 Part 3 延伸讨论

Q1: What makes a city a good place to live?

I'd say the basics are clean air, affordable housing, and decent public transport, but beyond that, it's about feel. A good city has its own personality — great food, interesting streets, people who look like they're enjoying life. A city can be wealthy but still feel cold and soulless, which is worse than being a little rough around the edges.

Q2: Do people in your country prefer living in big cities or small towns?

It's divided by age, I think. Young people still flock to big cities because that's where the jobs and excitement are. But more and more middle-aged people are moving back to smaller cities, especially after they start a family, because the cost of living is lower and the air is cleaner. It's a real shift that's happening right now.
