📝 高分范文(约 200-250 词,1-2 分钟)
The quiet place I'd like to talk about is a small public library near my apartment. It's not the big, modern kind — it's an old two-storey building with wooden floors that creak when you walk on them, and tall windows that let in warm afternoon light.
I go there maybe two or three times a week, usually on weekday evenings after work. I don't really read books there — most of the time I just take my laptop and work. The reason I go, rather than working from home, is that my flatmates are pretty noisy and I can never focus. At the library, it's just silence, the occasional turning of a page, and sometimes the sound of rain on the windows.
What I love most is the feeling of being surrounded by books but completely left alone. Nobody bothers you. You can sit in the same corner by the window for hours, and the librarians just smile and leave you to it. I've had some of my best thinking sessions there — the kind where you suddenly solve a problem you've been stuck on for days.
It's funny, in a noisy city like this, that a tiny library has become my sanctuary. I think I'd actually struggle to get through my work without it.

💬 Part 3 延伸讨论
Q1: Do people today have more or less quiet time than before?
Definitely less. We're constantly surrounded by notifications, traffic, and people. Even at home, phones and TVs are always on. I think that's why places like libraries or quiet cafes are so packed — people are starved for silence.
Q2: Is it important for children to have quiet time?
Absolutely, yes. Kids these days are over-scheduled — school, tutoring, sports, screens. They never get a chance to be bored, which is when creativity actually happens. I think a bit of quiet, unstructured time every day is just as important as any activity they're signed up for.
