📝 高分范文(约 200-250 词,1-2 分钟)

The friend I enjoy spending time with most is a guy called Leo, who I've known since my first year at university. We were actually assigned as roommates back then, which is funny because we came from completely different backgrounds — he grew up in a coastal city and I'm from inland Ningxia.

These days, we're both working in the same city, so we try to meet up at least once a week. More often than not, we end up going for a long walk along the river in the evening. We don't really plan anything — we just grab a coffee and walk for hours, chatting about everything from work stress to new movies. On weekends, we sometimes drive out to the hills and do a bit of hiking.

The reason I like spending time with him is that he's just so easygoing. He never judges, and he's a great listener. Whenever I'm going through a rough patch at work or in my personal life, he's the first person I call. He doesn't try to fix things immediately — he just sits there and listens, which is actually pretty rare.

What's more, he's genuinely curious about the world. He reads a lot, travels whenever he can, and always brings new perspectives to our conversations. Time just flies when I'm with him, and I always leave feeling recharged rather than drained.

💬 Part 3 延伸讨论

Q1: How do people make friends these days?

It's a mix of online and offline, honestly. A lot of people meet through apps or shared hobbies like gym classes or book clubs. At the same time, old-school ways still work — colleagues, university alumni, neighbours. The difference is that friendships now seem more activity-based; you bond over doing something together rather than just living nearby.

Q2: Are friends as important as family?

In some ways, yes, and in other ways, no. Family is automatic — you're born into it, and you can't really choose. Friends, on the other hand, are family you choose. As you get older, friends often understand you better than your own relatives do, especially when it comes to career or life choices. But family gives you a sense of roots that friends usually can't.
