📝 高分范文(约 200-250 词,1-2 分钟)
The book that's had a real influence on me is called Atomic Habits, by James Clear. I first picked it up about three years ago, at a time when I was feeling pretty stuck in my career and wanted to change a few things about myself.
It's not a long book, and the core idea is surprisingly simple: you don't rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems. Instead of obsessing over big targets, you focus on tiny habits — one percent better every day. The book breaks down how habits work, how to build good ones, and how to break bad ones, with loads of real examples.
What really hit me was the idea that identity drives behavior, not the other way around. I'd always thought I needed to change my actions first to become a different person, but Clear argues the opposite — you start by deciding who you want to be, and the small actions follow naturally. That reframe completely changed how I approach self-improvement.
After reading it, I started small: I'd read ten pages a night, exercise for ten minutes a day. Three years later, those tiny habits have compounded into something I'm genuinely proud of. It's not just a self-help book — it's a way of looking at life. I've recommended it to almost everyone I know.

💬 Part 3 延伸讨论
Q1: Do people read fewer books nowadays than in the past?
Definitely, yes. Most people I know read on their phones now — news articles, social media posts, short videos — but not long-form books. Attention spans have shrunk, and reading a 300-page book feels like a luxury. That said, audiobooks have brought some people back, even if they're not physically reading.
Q2: Should schools make reading fiction compulsory?
I think yes, up to a point. Fiction builds empathy in a way that no app can — you step into someone else's life. That said, forcing kids to read dry classics they don't care about usually backfires. The key is letting them choose what they read, so they discover that reading can actually be fun.
