📝 高分范文(约 200-250 词,1-2 分钟)

Something I still remember vividly was when I helped an elderly tourist in Beijing a couple of years ago. I was walking back to the metro on a weekend when I noticed an old lady standing by the roadside, looking completely lost and a bit distressed. She had a map open but was clearly struggling to make sense of it.

I went over and asked if she needed help. Turned out she was a visitor from Australia, here with a tour group, but she'd wandered off and couldn't find her hotel. She spoke pretty good English, but her Mandarin was just a few phrases, so she couldn't ask for directions.

I pulled out my phone, found her hotel on the map, and guided her to the nearest metro station. It turned out it was only three stops away. I walked her all the way there, bought her a metro ticket, and waited with her until her train came. She kept insisting on paying me back, but I just waved it off.

The whole thing probably took forty minutes, but it made my entire weekend. What stayed with me wasn't even the gratitude — it was the relief on her face. I think we'd all be a bit more willing to stop and help if we remembered how good it feels.

💬 Part 3 延伸讨论

Q1: Are people less willing to help strangers these days?

It's complicated. On one hand, everyone's glued to their phones and in a rush. On the other, I think most people would still stop if they saw someone truly in trouble. The issue is more that we're less engaged with the world around us, not that we've become heartless.

Q2: Should children be taught to help others at school?

Absolutely, yes. Kindness isn't instinctive — it's a habit, and habits are best built young. Schools shouldn't just teach maths and reading; they should teach empathy, how to read a situation, how to step in without overstepping. That's as valuable as any textbook skill.
